When a boy wants to draw but mum keeps handing him books to study from instead, who’s to stop the boy from living out his imagination when mum isn’t watching? But how will both react when one of his drawings suddenly comes alive? And what will it do to their mother-son bond?

Imaginary Friends is an animated music video by Fabyan Pasteleurs, which brings together the filmmaker’s greatest passions: animated movies and his own original music. It shows a tensed relationship between a mother, who finds education essential, and her son, whose curly head is full of imagination. The film shows that if we were to try to understand each other better, we would all find a way to live together. Ultimately opening our minds to new ideas.
